Hello everyone,

I was lucky enough to come 2nd in the Shabby tea room challenge recently and won some beautiful vintage images from Janet, she has an etsy shop where she sells the vintage files click here to find out more.

Debbie-Anne has asked me to Guest design for her this week, which I am really excited about and has given me this baby shower themed photo for inspiration....

So I thought I would make a brag book, to show off the photos taken at the baby shower.
The colours are really wonderful, pastel blues and pinks, yellows and greens.  Of course it has that Shabby look, one of my favourite styles along with vintage.

So here are some photos of the brag book....

The base of the pages were made with small standard (6 1/4" x 4 1/2") envelopes, cut open on both long edges so that they measure 6 1/4" x 4" (one opening side to fit over the binding tabs and the other for the pocket opening).  Then I matted the entire page on both sides with spring drop and spring feast first edition papers.
On the inside of each of the page pockets you will be able to add a tag measuring 5 3/4" x 3 3/4".
The spine is made with card measuring 6 3/4"x 5" (score it longways at 2" and 3") The two outside sections are stuck onto the inside of the two cover pieces making the pocket on the inner cover.  Have a look at this photo.....

The two covers are 6 3/4" x 4 1/4".
The binding method used was the stack the deck by Laura Denison with 1/8" gaps between the pages tabs.  I used tabs of 3/8".  You can find out how to bind in this way from Laura's you tube site.
I have added a doily which I used as a stencil to give little patches of pattern on the blank cover and then inked them a tiny bit more using brilliance inks, sticking some sections near the edges.  You can find some lovely vintage baby images with the stork which you can scan from google images.
I finished it with a banner made from tiny paper triangles and another with ribbon strips,  the odd bits of patchwork on the front cover were from some scraps of paper I had in my stash, sorry I don't know who makes it.  Then just a few bows and tiny flowers to set it off.

If you have any questions just leave a comment and I will do my best to answer you.

Don't forget to go to the Shabby tea room site and find out about their weekly challenges.
Hope that I get the chance to Guest design for them again as I love this Shabby chic look.
