Pop up card

Hi everyone,

Here is another of the Large pop up cards using a Crafty Individual stamp and their shades of summer background paper pad.  I also used one of the crafty Individual masks on the front with some acrylic paint.  The chip board embellishments are from K & Company - amy butler chipboard pieces.

The tutorial for the construction of this pop up can be found on my you tube channel here.
I also have a tutorial for a smaller version which goes in a C5 envelope here

Leave me a comment on what you think, I love to have your feedback.

Quick pop up card with Visible Image stamps

Hi
Happy Valentines day to you all.
As we speak my partner is cooking me a M&S Meal deal...3 courses, chocs and bubbly...I think this is the only time he has ever cooked me dinner...(in 23 years!)..sorry maybe (giving him the benefit of the doubt, the second time!!!!)  The last, as I remember was sausage and beans (out of a tin) on toast, when I was really ill once!!!

Well on to the crafting....
Here is the finished pop up card, as promised on my you tube channel this video is for the larger version which will fit into a standard C5 envelope, there is also a small version  that fits a C6 standard envelope.... check out that video too.

I used the Larger version for this card using the Visible Image stamps Emma and Bradley and their script set 10 for the wedding day, also the verse Fairytale endings
I have put some material layers for the dress and a top layer of vellum with some added sequins.  I've also put some net for her veil and pearls as a necklace with gems for the tiara. The characters are coloured using promarkers.
I used the Tim Holtz baroque die on the front (cut down) and the Lin & Lene design embossing plate as a stencil with some distress inks to create the rose design (goes so well with the new rose stamps from Visible Image).  The die in the top corner is from Joycrafts..one of their corner dies.

Hope you like it and will  have a go at one of these pop ups as they are so easy to do.

NEW STAMPS FROM VISIBLE IMAGE

Hi,

I have been busy this week creating with Visible Image's new stamps.  They have brought out some characters which I'm sure you'll all love.  Get out those promarkers and copics....because you  all know that colouring is very calming to the soul!!!!

I have been lucky enough to have recieved Isabella to play with and this is what I came up with....hope you like it.
On December 8th two more characters will be available and I will be doing some projects for those too, keep an eye out for those, they have a very different twist to the others and I love them.

Visible Image has a facebook page here.

For this project I used...
ISABELLA stamp by VISIBLE IMAGE
IMMORTAL LOVE stamp set by VISIBLE IMAGE (used the small rose to emboss the background on front page with clear embossing powder).
Stampin up die for the butterfly.
Spellbinders die - Decorative chateau gate for the window
Memory box die for the flower sprays
Martha Stewart punch for the bottom border inside.

I coloured Isabella with promarkers....

Skin  Ivory-blush-pastel pink
Hair   tan-caramel-cocoa
Dress pastel green-soft green
Cape  cool greys 1-2 and 4

I gave her dress a coat of clear matt medium and roughed it up for some texture.

Flower sprays where embossed with clear versamark ink and then embossed with silver embossing powder.
The butterfly is coated with gesso and embossed...you can see how I did one in my video tutorial for the mixed media canvas (you can view it here) they come out really well...hope you will try it.

Will catch up with you all soon.
Happy crafting X

Gift bag for your christmas gifts

Hi there,

I needed a gift bag for some jewellery I'm giving to a friend and as I was using envelopes at the time  I thought that I would have a go at making a bag from one of the C5 size envelopes.

THE TUTORIAL FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE BAG IS UP ON MY YOU TUBE CHANNEL HERE

Here are the two styles that I came up with....one with a handle and one with a ribbon closure.

Of course you can decorate it in any way you wish but here is a list of the products I used.
On both bags I used the following...
Dovecraft back to basics christmas (love the vintage colours)
Distress ink - vintage photo to edge all round

Bag one - with handle.

Crafty Individuals  stamp C1 - 211 (this is sooo beautiful)
Sizzix TH holly branch die (painted with crackle paint to give texture and edged with antique white acrylic paint.
Sizzix tattered pine cone- foliage only
Sizzix embossing folder for the sentiment.

Bag two -  ribbon closure.

Crafty Individuals stamp C1 -142 for the sentiment (so vintage- love it)
Printed image from Crafty Individuals book Minitures 'Merry Christmas' (has 166 fabulous images to use on your christmas projects).
Sizzix tattered pinecone die
Spellbinders Anitque frame and accents die
punches for the circle and scalloped circle.

Hi,

Here are some photos of the finished and decorated Christmas card/bragbook.
I have used some Visible image stamps,  these are the ones I used, you can click on their title to go to the stamps page, christmas collage, snowy background, snowflake corner, and the vintage christmas trio.  You could of course use any of the Visible Image stamps for your own book. There are six pages where you can add photos and you can  also add two tags if you like.  Plenty of room for that Christmas photo bragging!!!

For the photo corners (which you can slide a photo under) I used the sizzix Tim Holtz Baroque movers and shapers and just cut it into quaters.  I've inked with stampin up inks crumb cake and real red and distress ink pine needles. The die cut leaves are Tim Holtz alterations autumn gatherings.  The little bells add a christmasy tinkle when you move the card.

If you have any questions let me know......you can the finished TUTORIAL FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THIS CARD/BRAG BOOK on my you tube channel.

Challenges

Hi there,

I have decided to have a go at some challenges as I've never entered any before....Woo Hoo love a new challenge (He He).

I'm going to enter this card which I made using visible image stamp set Beauty is Art.
I have used some textured soft netting and then applied some versa mark ink is places to it.  Then I sprinkled on two different colours of embossing powder and heated it. Used normal embossing for the letters on the vellum (very thick one) and on the torso and word goddess and the greek key border.
The plastic connected by the chain is shrink plastic.  Ripe a shape out and then punch a large hole in it near the edge then shrink it.  now apply embossing powders and heat, when it is cool apply a good coat of glossy accents or diamond glaze and then add some beads.
The red card for the background is by kanban.
Hope you like it....these are the challenges I am entering it in....
